I have great enthusiasm and a big heart. The first big benefit I worked on with some friends was back in 2000. We all pulled together on short notice, contacted some local folk and businesses (large and small) and pulled together a food / music / auction scenario. We raised $28,000 in a night.
Last year, a good friend died suddenly and quickly in a car accident. She had three young children, who all survived, but were left without their hitch to life, safety and love. Three of us gathered energy and
put together a benefit. It was a terrible blizzard-like evening, but spirits were tall... and we raised $6,000 at the door (music venue), through the auction, and via collection bottles left at local shops of sorts.
